KryoVault System, 41,600 Vials Fiberboard Package System

The ABS KryoVault is engineered to provide cryogenic temperatures throughout the tank well below the critical -135°C range. With only a few inches of liquid, vapor temperatures approaching the actual -196°C temperature of LN₂  can be maintained at the highest shelf. The unique restricted neck opening design, with double-hinged lid, brings liquid consumption to one of the lowest rates in the industry. 

Every KryoVault System comes standard with: 6ft. stainless-steel armor-plated transfer hose, 1/3 parts and labor warranty, casters, folding step, inventory carousel, keyed lid lock, LN2 measuring rod, flat stainless-steel work surface and the Sentry Plus LN₂ Controller.

KryoVault package systems include: KryoVault Tank, Sentry Plus LN₂ Controller, stainless steel rack inventory system, transfer hose, CryoGloves, LN₂ measuring rod, and either fiberboard boxes (25 cell, 81 cell, 100 cell, or custom) or polycarbonate boxes (25 cell, 81 cell, or 100 cell).

What's the vial capacity on this unit?

The KVP-2 CS holds 41,600 vials based on 2 ml vials, or 990 bags based on 250 ml bags.

How much LN2 does it hold and what's the evaporation rate?

LN2 capacity is 698 liters (80 in vapor phase), with a static evaporation rate of 9 liters/day. The rate is nominal and can be affected by contents, atmospheric conditions, container history, and manufacturing tolerances.

What are the dimensions I need to plan for?

Overall height is 1346.2 mm (not including the controller module), with a usable height of 762 mm. Exterior diameter is 1143 mm, internal diameter is 1028.7 mm, and neck diameter is 457.2 mm.

What happens to the controller if we lose power?

The Sentry Plus controller has battery backup capable of maintaining operation during power loss for up to 5 days, and power failure is one of the alarm conditions. Event logging also records power on/off events.

What alarms does the controller cover?

The comprehensive alarm package includes audible, visual, and remote alarms for level (high and low), temperature (high and low), lid open, power failure, valve stuck open, and sensor failure, plus alarm ringback. It also logs up to 500,000 events at 15 minute intervals.
