Flammable storage refrigerators meet the requirements of NFPA 45 and NFPA 30 for cold storage of flammable and combustible materials in unclassified laboratory locations. Utilizes non-sparking and/or ATEX rated components to ensure an intrinsically safe interior for flammable materials in sealed containers. These units feature temperature alarms, keyed door locks, interior shelving, probe access, and microprocessor temperature control.

Our Premier Series refrigerators include premium additions such as extensive alarm systems and digital touch pad displays. All units run on natural, hydrocarbon refrigerant for environmental health and energy efficiency.

What temperature range can I set this refrigerator to?

The adjustable temperature range is 1°C to 10°C, controlled by a microprocessor temperature controller with a digital display that is °C/°F switchable.

What alarms are included?

It has audible and visual high and low temperature alarms, a sensor error alarm, a power failure alarm, alarm validation (audible, visual, and remote alarm), and alarm mute with ring back. It also provides state switching remote alarm contacts for an external alarm connection.

How much clearance is required around the unit?

The unit requires 4" of clearance around the back and sides for proper ventilation. Improper installation will void the warranty and will lead to temperature maintenance issues, overheating, and possible failure.

What are the electrical requirements?

The facility electrical requirement is 115V, 60 Hz, with a rated amperage of 3 Amps. It uses a NEMA 5-15 plug that conforms to UL471 requirements.

What refrigerant does it use and how does it defrost?

It uses R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant, and defrost is manual.

The unit includes 5 adjustable shelves (4 full plus a half shelf). It also has a rear wall probe access port with a 3/4" diameter, and the controller uses 2 probes, 1 in air and 1 in a sample bottle.
