What temperature range can I set on this freezer?

The adjustable temperature range is -15°C to -25°C, controlled by a microprocessor temperature controller with variable frequency compressor control.

How much clearance does it need around the cabinet?

The unit requires 4" of clearance around the back and sides for proper ventilation. Improper installation will void the warranty and will lead to temperature maintenance issues, overheating, and possible failure.

What alarms are included?

It has audible and visual high and low temperature alarms, remote alarm contacts, a sensor error alarm, a power failure alarm, a resettable 1-point min/max history, alarm validation (audible, visual, and remote alarm), and alarm mute with ring back. The battery backup supports the temperature display and alarm only, with no active cooling.

What are the electrical requirements?

The freezer is rated at 3.3 Amps and requires 110-120V AC with a 15A breaker and a NEMA 5-15 receptacle. It ships with a NEMA 5-15P plug and a 6 ft long cord.

What refrigerant does it use and does it need a manual defrost?

It uses EPA SNAP compliant R290 propane refrigerant with a hermetic, variable speed compressor. Defrost is manual, and the unit will need to be defrosted periodically to prevent severe ice build-up.

Defrosting of the unit will need to be performed periodically to prevent severe ice build-up. Indoor use only, +18° C to +26° C (+65° F to +78° F), <70% RH Specifications are subject to change. Equipment requires 4” of clearance around back and sides of the unit for proper ventilation – improper installation will void the warranty and will lead to temperature maintenance issues, overheating and possible failure. Performance claims are based on testing at 22°C ambient using unbuffered air temperatures in an empty freezer at steady state operation. Performance may vary with environmental conditions, product load, or door openings.
