What's the adjustable temperature range on this unit?

The adjustable temperature range is 2° C to 15° C, controlled by a microprocessor temperature controller with variable frequency compressor control. The controller is C°/F° switchable with a resolution of 0.1° C/0.2° F.

How much clearance do I need around the unit?

The refrigerator requires a minimum 2" of clearance around the back and sides for proper ventilation, and more if it's next to heat rejecting equipment. Improper installation will void the warranty and can lead to temperature maintenance issues, overheating and possible failure.

What alarms are included?

The unit has audible and visual high/low temperature alarms, remote alarm contacts, a sensor error alarm, a power failure alarm, and a door ajar alarm. A battery backup supports the controller temperature display and alarms only, with no cooling active.

What refrigerant does it use and what type of defrost?

It uses EPA SNAP compliant R600a Isobutane, a hydrocarbon natural refrigerant, with a hermetic variable speed compressor. The defrost type is cycle defrost.

The facility must provide 110–120V AC with a 15A breaker and a NEMA 5-15 receptacle. The unit is rated at 3 Amps and ships with a NEMA 5-15 plug.

What is a Variable Speed Compressor (VSC)?

A variable speed compressor (VSC) self-adjusts to cooling demand instead of running at one fixed speed, giving greater efficiency and more cost savings than a traditional fixed-speed model. On this unit it works alongside the microprocessor temperature controller, which provides the precise temperature control.
